How to Take a Screenshot on Your Apple Watch

Taking a screenshot on the iPhone or iPad is a simple matter of holding the sleep/wake button and pressing the home button. The Apple Watch takes a similar approach, but since there’s no Home button, it utilizes the Digital Crown and Side Button. Where do the pictures go? Screenshots taken on the Apple Watch will automatically appear in the Camera Roll of the paired iPhone. Here’s how to take a screenshot on the Apple Watch.

First, navigate to the screen you want to capture. Simultaneously press and hold the side button and the Digital Crown to take the screenshot. The screen will flash and you’ll hear a camera shutter sound.

Now you can take out your iPhone and open the Photos app. From there you can edit the photo, share it with others, or delete the Apple Watch screenshot you took.
