But plenty of people without Bluetooth or CarPlay need help finding their parked car. We’ve got a smart solution you can use regardless the type of vehicle you have. The big difference between the iOS 10 Parked Car feature and our workaround tip is that you need to remember to do this each time you park somewhere you think you won’t remember. To do this, you’ll drop a pin from your parked car’s location. When it’s time to find the car, you can get walking directions to our dropped pin. Here’s how:

  • When you park your vehicle, open Maps.

  • Tap the blue dot that represents your location and select Mark My Location. This will drop a red pin.

  • Now go off and do what you need to do. Then when it’s time to find your parked car, open Maps again and tap the red pin you dropped.

  • Select Directions.

  • It will most likely give you walking direction automatically; if not, select Walking. Tap GO to begin.

Keep in mind that Maps will still try to use streets to get you back to your parked car, which may be in a parking lot and not right on a street. However, you can use Maps to move towards the red pin from your blue dot location until you’ve found your vehicle.
