Want to know how to flip the FaceTime screen on an iPhone? FaceTime video calls automatically use the front view camera, which is great for talking face-to-face, but sometimes you want to show the other person a quick house tour or the odd sleeping position your cat picked. Sure, you can flip your iPhone around, but it's hard to tell exactly where your camera is pointing when you use that method. Here's how to flip the FaceTime camera during a call.

How to Flip the FaceTime Camera

  1. During the FaceTime call, tap anywhere on the screen.
  2. A menu bar will slide up from the bottom. Tap the flip icon.

  3. Now the camera has flipped from the front to the back lens and I can show my friend this nice lamp.

To go back to front-facing, just tap the flip icon again. It's that easy! Now, you can talk to your friends and family and share things from your every day life while you chat. This tip also works during group FaceTime calls!
