iPhone 7 Dual Lens Mechanism Allegedly Spotted in the Wild

Apple will likely introduce a smaller iPhone SE within a week at the March 21 Apple event, along with new iPads; but a lot of speculation has focused on iPhone 7 rumors, even though Apple is unlikely to release it until September. Speaking of "focus" one of the big differentiators iPhone 7 is expected to have is a dual lens camera system. Apple would not be the first smartphone maker to offer a phone with multiple cameras; Amazon's Fire Phone had more than four, in fact.

It will be interesting to see how Apple uses the lenses. A recently leaked set of photos from a Taiwanese website show what looks like a pair of different sized lenses. One could be a traditional lens and the other could be a wide angle or macroscopic lens. My hope is that Apple allows simultaneous recording of two streams, slightly apart, to enable 3D recording for us on virtual reality headsets!
