How to Manage Your Watchlist in the Stocks App on Your iPhone & iPad (Updated for iOS 13 & iPadOS)

Apple's Stocks app is a free, native offering for both iPhone and iPad that includes personalized market and stock tracking, and a curated section of business and finance news. One of the best reasons to use the Stocks app is the Watchlist; this feature offers the ability to choose which markets and stocks you are following, so you always have the data you need to make informed financial decisions. Let's get started learning how to customize the options in your Watchlist now.

How to Remove Stocks from Your Watchlist on Your iPhone & iPad

  1. Open the Stocks app.
  2. Tap Edit at the upper-right corner of your display.

  3. Tap the white minus sign in the red circle to the left of any item to remove it from your Watchlist.
  4. Tap Remove to complete the deletion; tap Done when you're finished removing items from your Watchlist.

How to Add Stocks to Your Watchlist on Your iPhone & iPad

  1. To add a stock or market to your Watchlist, tap Edit on the Home screen again.
  2. In the Search field at the top, enter the index, stock symbol, company name, or fund name you'd like to add to your Watchlist and tap on it if you see it in the results list below.
  3. If the stock you're looking for doesn't pop up right away, tap Search and review the results.

  4. Tap the name of the index, stock symbol, company name, or fund name, then tap Add to Watchlist.

  5. A popup will appear showing that your choice has been added to your Watchlist; tap the X under the stock ticker to return to the Search screen.
  6. Tap Cancel when you're finished adding items to your Watchlist. This will return you to the Home screen.
