Review: Looking for the Best Tech Backpack? Try the Helios from Moshi

Looking for the Best Tech Backpack? Try the Helios from Moshi

People always ask me what is the best gift for the person who has everything, and I always reply, "Something to carry it in!" And if that person cares at all about fashion, they will appreciate the Helios Lite Backpack ($119.95) from Moshi. The folks at Moshi always deliver stylish, well-designed, well-built products, and as one of the best tech backpacks out there, the Helios is no exception. It's a backpack that doesn't make you look like an extra in Revenge of the Nerds. You could be right at home in the boardroom, the courtroom, or the computer room.

There are two color options for the Helios Lite: a gray and tan trim version and a light blue with brown trim option. There is a padded compartment for a 13-inch laptop or iPad and zippered pockets for papers, keys, and more. Moshi also offers a larger Helios model, for $149.95, which is capable of holding a 15-inch MacBook Pro, in black or brown. I was not expecting the decent amount of storage in the Helios Lite. While a road warrior might need a larger bag, for the daily commute, the Helios Lite is just fine. I also like that the exterior sports a water-resistant coating. It's comfortable to wear and to hold using the leather-trim handle.

Pros

  • Stylish design
  • Two color options
  • Surprisingly, a decent amount of storage
  • Comfortable to wear and to hold
  • Water-resistant coating

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Not quite as much storage as a road warrior might need

Final Verdict

The Helios Lite from Moshi is reasonably priced, but it doesn't look cheap, and it protects your valuable electronics in style! One of the best tech backpacks I've reviewed.
